One question I get a lot is whether or not you should replace carpeting before you sell in a resell situation.

And most of the times is actually a good idea to do that. I would say of course it’s easy for me to say that but I would check with your realtor and see what they say.

One of the reasons you would want to do it besides just having new carpeting is that it takes one objection off the table. A lot of times people want to move into what they called a move-in ready home. If your home is one of the move in ready homes because it has new carpeting, there is a whole group of customers that are potential buyers that would then buy your house that otherwise wouldn’t have looked at it because they don’t want to have to do any work really when they buy the home. So that’s one good reason to do it.

Another thing you can do is you can always come in, we do for estimates. We can give you an estimate, tell you what it would cost and you can try to use that as a bargaining chip during your home sale.
