Spot Cleaning After the Holidays?
2011-01-05 09:59:15
If you've had a few spills over the holidays, please take a minute to check out the spot solver we have listed. Just go to our resources at the top of the page and click on Website Links.
We've got a few tips for you as well:
First, be careful what you use to clean the stain, always try the product in a closet or somewhere less noticeable to be sure it won't discolor the carpet.
Second, don't over do it. Use just a little bit of cleaner, if you use any. Most stains will come out with just a little bit of warm water. You don't want to soak the area either.
Lastly, always blot the stain up, don't rub. If there's a lot of liquid or the stain seems to keep coming back use a thick towel and a weight of some kind to allow the stain to soak up into the towel.
As always feel free to give us a call for help!
Happy New Year!

Chamber of Commerce
We've always been really proud of the fact that we're able to support the community. One of the ways we do that is by being part of the chamber of commerce. We've been part of the Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce for years. They are active in Cary and Fox River Grove. Being in Fox River Grove the main towns we service are Fox River Grove and Cary, but we've always had customers from a much larger area. These areas include Crystal Lake, Barrington, Wauconda, Lake Zurich, Algonquin and Lake in the Hills.
Recently, we've been noticing an increase in customers from the growing area of Huntley. I live in Huntley also so I'd like to be more active in that community as well. To that end, we've joined the Huntley Chamber of Commerce. We're really excited to get plugged in a bit more with that community.

What Flooring is Best for Allergies?
2010-05-25 15:35:42
I've heard it said before that floors such as hardwood or ceramic are best for allergies and asthma. It's sounds very logical really, because we all know carpet will trap dust. However the truth is that carpet isn't bad for allergies or asthma and in fact it maybe better then other choices.
The fact is that since carpet is trapping dust it's actually resulting in less dust floating around to be breathed in. As long as you vacuum regularly you should have a better air quality over all.
Here at Wholesale Carpets and Flooring we have a ton of hard surfaces choices, not just hardwood and ceramic. We also carry laminates, vinyl, cork, and bamboo. I want to stress here that neither carpet or hard surface floors are "bad for allergies" and the difference between the them in air quality is small. Carpet was just getting a bad rap here and we wanted to clear things up.
Stop in anytime and let us help you pick the best flooring for your home and family.
Free!

"There's no sure thing as a free lunch". "If it's free, it's not for me". These saying were created to warn us to beware of free. It's interesting that even with this sage advice being common knowledge some marketing people still make a living selling free.
"Buy one room of flooring, get the second free'. "Free padding and installation". "Free take up and haul away of your old flooring".
So what's going on here? In my opinion, this is a company insulting your intelligence. Compare the competition with all the free stuff to our bottom line price and our price is lower in most cases. Basically, it means your paying for all that free stuff somewhere.
When your shopping for new flooring most companies don't charge you to come out and measure the job. I encourage you to get it measured and get the bottom line price from each place. We do this everyday and you'll find there's no such thing as free.
Here at Wholesale Carpets & Flooring there's no deceptive sales or marketing ploys. Just the lowest bottom line price guaranteed.
